Light Note to my Lover

We cannot hold back from what we have done or said,
Maybe for that is the reason that some of us wish dead,
I lived to love and in this have uncovered a scene,
But only then did I realize what I missed though I wish I known ahead,
My life was a vain and sorrowful passion of which I always had danced on strings,
If only I knew this time before, I’d cut the horrid things,
Maybe then would I have known what was to come and what it would mean,
It was a give-away with the gold and fancy diamond rings,
I should have known bestowed upon sweet words was no more than illusion,
For the time slowly came of which I reached my dawning conclusion,
I had been lied to and betrayed without my knowing,
I had never quite been in such a chaotic confusion,
But no worry, for with this light note I make it crystal clear,
I never did really watch him poof into dust nor disappear,
More like gently fade away in a light spot what wasn’t glowing,
Him to return again was for me a thought to fear,
My love, my love, my life and uncanny denier,
You took all my love, my hope, my desire,
And with this light note I leave you to this,
Leave me forever to rest or face my dark fire…
