Cold spirit

by Sinister Soire   Feb 8, 2005

My spirit is sleeping somewhere cold
While my body travels on
God knows when it will return
But my body will grow old

What a time that we are born
Where nothing is held sacred
All is lost in constant chaos
From when the womb we are torn

My soul did die too long ago
And now I want it back
To love and be loved in return
This torment I must forgo

The warmth of love may thaw my heart
And return me to this world
But all I dream is not too late
To bring together from apart

The cold and barren landscape
Where my soul was banished
Has been discovered and returned
Into an all more proper shape

It’s amazing what love can do
When you have lost too much
Bring about a change of life
When you love and they love you

So I know that I’m not old
I know when my soul will return
Just for now it has come back
Before it returns back to the cold
