Shadows

Where the shadows lie,
Deep within my eyes,
Sunken in my soul,
Engraved within my mind,
Scared upon my heart,
Running through my veins,
Stolen all my trust,
Let me with an empty hand,
Let depression just sink in,
Hope ran dry and thin,
Friendships came to an end,
Left with pain and misery,
At least no one is at my side to see,
The shadows on the walls mocking me.
