They Just Don't Get It

Whether diagnosed dim by glance into eye,
Revealed by an ignorant anachronistic crack,
Announced by aberrations for which they cry
Or betrayed by votes that take you soundly aback,
These regressives are proliferating
At a considerably alarming pace,
Their outspoken stupidity commiserating
With faith in creationism of an imbecilic race.
I cannot wisdom whether it's but a chilling fad
Or some devious dosage of mass uber-opiate,
But its result is international and obviously sad,
Power-mongering by fools who just don't get it.
