Mountain Meadows Massacre

by Ð맆îñ¥   Feb 9, 2005

They lie so still you can miss them
Your wagons rattle when they should be silent
Let them admit the mistakes but more men don’t condemn
Let our fates be decided in ways much less violent

The mountain hides them but they’re watching you
Look more clearly at who shares your views
For lurking in these grasses are many of the Sioux
And of your ignorance they shall now abuse

As startled cries pierce the air
Many already down in crimson clothes
Had they but stopped, mistaking a pair
Stead of massacring many just suppose

That only Mountain Meadows knows

**The sioux are an indian tribe
The place Mountain Meadows is a place where a famous massacre took place and was supposed to have been arranged by the Mormans in Utah. The reason for it was that the indians accidentally killed 2 people and the mormans were scared that pothers would find out and so they killed them all and although it is a sorry affair it made the american government realize that they couldn\'t justwipe out the mormans because they were powerful etc. Many mormans still live in Utah**

**just some background information**
