Little Girl

~ THIS IS MORE OF A WRITING - IT DOESNT RHYME OR ANYTHING BUT I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT

born a girl,
dressed as a boy.
she wants to be just like her brother.
good at sports, funny, tough,
fearless.
toughness is interpreted as strength.
harmless brother abuse,
what used to seem like torture,
is now "the good ol' days".
her life crumbles with years,
yet the strength builds.
it now seems weak to cry.
anger and hurtful words are said,
as she watches a loved ones life go down the drain.
everyone's hurt now.
and the inevitable cannot change,
she still looks up to her brother.
as she shops in the girls section,
and later cries herself to sleep.
