Last Poem

Can I really be dead,
Can this hurt this much,
This is my last poem,
I have given up,
Given up life,
There was never any hope,
I am told I should live life,
But I have and all it has brought is pain,
For it is a disease within me,
That has spread,
Sliding through my every vein,
I'm addicted,
For all pain with it shall retain.
