What Do You Want To Know
From The One Who Never Shares?
Do You Want An Invitation
To The Soul Of Lamentation.

Look Beyond The Pretty House
And A Family Portrait Of Smiles,
To See A Lifetime Of Belittlement
That Must Be Kept Reticent.

A Mother Who Hits, A Father Of Hatred
A Family Starving For Cash...
With Not A Friend To My Name
Covered With Smiles To Destroy The Shame.

The One I Love Near To Death,
Striving To Just Hold On To Life...
But I'm The One Who's Got To Be Strong
And Drag The Essence Of Life Along.

Lost In Faith But Continued Smiling
And Shining Those Pretty Blue Eyes,
Holding Up The World With Clarity
But Losing Everything Inside Of Me.

Heartbroken And Scared
Striving For The Strength To Let Go
No Matter How Much I Try, I Can't Do
But I'm Living To Be Here For You.

    Good poem Heather it was rather incitetive. I know that it is sometimes hard to bare your soul for the world to see but i know that it is a lot easier on the internet or in a poem.

    I was in no way offended by your comment either, i appreciate your honesty and in the manner you did it not like "you suck dark" or "Poem was really bad" it was "i liked this one less then the others" it means you liked the others and thought i could have did better with it.....which i did have that idea in my head but i wanted to end on the seer line.

    Good poem, unfortunate subject you had to expeirence to write about.
