Run Run Run

by Ð맆îñ¥   Feb 10, 2005

Ideas are chasing me
I’m running away
I can’t let them find me

Running and hiding and crouching
Ducking behind shadows; I’m escaping
Have they seen me?

New people are following me
New ways to hunt me, to catch me
I don’t know what to do

Part of me is desperate flinging me round
A few attempts to hide me
But another pushes me further

It’s like a moth to a flame
It’s me they all blame
They can’t believe me; I didn’t

The words are haunting me
They’re paler now
But they still hurt so much

Are they a ghost from the past?
Are they calling me or driving me forward?
Am I still running or do I want to be found?

Someone’s reaching into my pocket
They bring out a rubber and erase the wrong
Smudge a few bad deals and leave it lying on the ground
It’s lying next to me
