The Dreary End

by John123   Feb 10, 2005

Simplicity screams for recgoning;
A heart cries out for pain;
A life wandered not understanding;
Who or what to blame.

Coagulation ceases the hurt;
Numbing other feelings too;
Living with a shattered reflection;
Is that thing in the mirror you?

Empty eyes reflect your world;
A place of dark and cold;
The only question worth pondering;
is whether or not to grow old.

With devil on your left;
And an angel the right;
Your head spins so quickly;
That you lose your sight.

Alone, you can not handle;
your dreary and shattered life;
So you take a blade against your skin;
And cut angrily with the knife.

So now ends your final day;
Your life fades with the light;
While darkness and evil haunt you gracefully;
You wonder if you have the strength to do what is right.

Congratulations my friend;
You tried your best;
You fought the good fight;
But you failed the test!

And now as you wallow;
in your self-pity, tears, and blood of red;
You lie broken, empty,
desolate, and dead.
