God Is Among Us

by Emily   Feb 11, 2005

Sitting here, on the blades of grass.
Feeling the breeze cut past my face, so cold and lash.

Thoughts flowing through my mind, empty thoughts, no more.
My soul has sunk, to the bottom of the ocean floor.

The sand beneath my feet, feels smooth, and confine.
Feeling the warm rays hit my face, of the reluctant, sweet sunshine.

Lives dwelling in open corners, waiting to be taken out.
This God we live among, will be mine, will be yours..Will be ours..

With many days passing, and the years that grow longer.
The lives of us grow short, and our bodies become stronger.

Pain, and agony we must suffer every day..
But the life he brought among us, he brought in his own way.

Glowing with the night now, walking through the alley.
Watching the sun rise next morning, and seeing that green and blue valley.

As he speaks to us, the words of wisdom, guiding our hearts clear..
God is always there for us, so close..And so dear..
