A girl's story

This is the story about a little girl
Not a day passed by without her crying,
At school or at home, she did not care.
But sitting there, feeling all alone, she did not bear.

Family and caring friends she had
But she always felt she was bad
Afraid to hurt people, she ended up hurting herself
Cutting her clothes till blood dripped all over the place.

Sitting on the bathroom floor, starring at her cut
She couldn't tell anyone, terrified they'll let her down.
Keeping everything deep inside her heart
Her body crying, while her soul is dying.

This cycle kept going on for over three years
Smiling and laughing with her friends,
Hurting and sobbing while all alone.

On a sad, cold and rainy day
She decides she can't take it anymore.
That her life was such a bore.
She did not care what happens next.

She slowly walks towards her bedroom window
Not thinking twice she decides to make her family a widow
"What a terrible sin" she kept thinking

Wanting to go back and return to the inside of the house,
She slips and falls down, down from the second floor.
At that moment her friend comes in through the door
And notices something's really wrong.

She looks out from the window and finds her with blood all around
What if I had came a bit earlier she kept thinking ?
Today the girl's alive
Alive but paralyzed

Was the suffering she felt before worse than what she's feeling now ?
She would certainly reply no.
But suffering right now is way better than ending my life,
She told me so. I know.
Because that girl is me.
