Snow

by UM   Feb 11, 2005

The snow drifts down,
lazily floating to and fro,
intricate crystals
that accumulate slow.

The wind whispers,
barely there,
nudging and goading
the snowflakes in the air.

The crystals fall upon each other
forming a blanket of white
that covers the ground
in the dark of night.

As the sun appears over the horizon
the yellow orb is met by a glint,
the light bounces off the snow
giving off a whitish-blue tint.

Another great poem but I don't like the snow in Ohio I see enough of it! I do think it's pretty but I would rather have spring and summer! Great job!

  • I loved this one as well. It was very nice to read. Great job and keep writing!

A very original piece. Nicely written, and 'deep' for want of a better word. Kudos.

    Good job...
I would say that snow is like love. Their is something magicel about it. It's hard to write about it, but you have done a great job :)

This was sweet and very descriptive. Goes to show that if you look close enough at anything you can write an excellent poem about it. Nicely done :)
