Only 23 (part two)

by Jacklyn   Feb 11, 2005

Dear little sister,
I pray to you out loud,
Hoping you will hear me, even when you are gone,
I now have guardians of your son and little girl,
They lived don’t worry, they remain safe,

I miss you so much,
I cry all the time,
A drunk driver took your young life,
I only wish you had survived,
The drunk driver she also died,

She was only 23,
She lived a much shorter life,
You have to find a way to forgive her,
For you and I once were drunk the same,
Just she hit your car and three people died,

You should feel lucky,
For you died instantly,
Barely any pain did you go through,
But the 23 year old went through so much,
She died so slowly, even after help had arrived,

She died painfully and slowly,
She was trapped in her car,
In heaven if you seen her,
Least tell her I forgive her,
For the regret she must hold,

She went drinking to escape the pain,
Everyone makes mistakes,
She was hurt deep down inside,
She didn’t mean to hurt you and take your life,
She was just trying to escape, but in the end I guess she did,

She was only 23,
A bright future ahead,
She accidentally killed you and your husband,
And in the end killed herself,
Poor thing must have been through so much pain in her life,

Least your son and daughter had survived,
Can you imagine burying your child before you died?
No parent should, the kid should out live them,
I feel for the 23 year olds mom who out lived her only daughter,
Who had to say good- bye to her child, and burry her in the ground,

She did not mean to kill you,
She did not mean to hurt you,
Please little sister, please forive her,
She died way to young in life,
But died slowly and painfully,

Sincerely, love forever,
Your big sister,

P.s. I forgave her!
