She stands solitary

She stands solitary
Scared of every movement
Restrained to no improvement
Smiling at her misfortune
In her own heart.

Again they throw her comments
Its about to start
Maybe its worth it?
To see through her torment
Just so they are happy.

Common statements
Are said with much ease
They take my soul and seize it
It struggles as they squeeze it
Control, then they release it.

Hurts her so bad to know these things
Makes her wonder why she shows herself
Swallow tears as she nods and says
“Wow I hope you’re happy that way”

Yearns to be in his arms
Returns so she can see
His face lit up and happy
How she wishes it was her
But swallow the hurt and see the one she adores
Hold another and follow his heart.
