She’s filled my dreams too much it seems,
I’ve held her tight in the middle of the night,
We hit the highest heights,
She touched my soul, I made her whole,
We sang along with angels.
We tripped across the milky-way
We’ve had our time in heaven
I caught the twinkle in the stars
The sunshine on the flowers
But then too fast our time is past
I long for night again.
For with the day she fades away
A tough and harsh reality
She does exist, and how I wish
That she would see and we could be.
The same as in my dreams.
I’ll send a rose, I’ll let her know
I’ll tell her how I feel.
A simple card with words to show
A tear I’ll use to seal it
I’ll kiss her name, I’ll make it plain
I’ll make her understand.
I’ll cross the street, I’ll hold her hand
I’ll go down on one knee
I’ll say how much I love her
I’ll try and make her see
I’ll be on time
I’ll say the line
