Life of an Immigrant

She got the best airplane ticket
Thousands would 've killed to get.
Saddened because she realized she loved her country
But it was too late, cause she was headed toward another country.

She looked down at her new country
Hating the hundreds of beautiful trees.
Smiling awkwardly at her new relatives
Not caring if she looked native.

She was told that she had she had to go to school
And she was like "thats cool".
On the first day of school she thought she looked really good
Then she saw the other students whose behaviors were so rude.

She had a hard time because of her ascent
But later made friends who were decent.
Curious about her country ppl asked her dumb questions
But she answered with dedication.

She tried to fit in with everyone
But deep down she knows it can't be done.
They all think shes shy and boring
But she alone knows she can be exciting.

She tries to make her feelings free
Because she doesn't want to become a wanna-be.
She knows she'd been given a chance by being here
But she'll rather be anywhere but here.

Her life sometimes to her is a bad omen
Because in this country shes viewed as an alien.
She doesn't want to seem to this world as a dead plant
But what can she do when her official name is-*IMMIGRANT*-
