Her Angel

by Unknown2Thyself   Feb 13, 2005

She smiles to the one above,
and notices that he's getting closer.
She knows her time is coming,
and she's not afraid.

She's willing to meet her angel,
the one who will take her away.
From the misery and pain,
and the suffering everyday.

So as she looks down at her lifeless body,
she smiles knowing it's over.
No more yelling or screaming,
no more scars or bruises.

Her angel tells her she'll be safe,
she believes him deep down inside.
Not because he's an angel,
but because she can feel it's true.
