Forever we dance

Whisper to me the song in your heart
i know it’s there; i’ve heard it once before
i cannot live until i see you laugh again
for tonight we dance
laugh and smile and dance
only we can hear our song play

i can see your battered heart lying on the floor
it’s been there for some time, i’m told
the crescent moon reveals the pain inside it
let me ease your pain
let me cheer you up
let me see you smile
for tonight we dance

look at me
tell me what you see
all i want is for you and me to be
tell me what you want
as we shuffle our feet to the beat
i want us to be forever as one
for forever we will dance
