Broken Shadow

by Rayness   Feb 13, 2005

This poem was a little bit random and a spur of the moment kinda thing, so tell me what u think!

Lost in the depth,
Of a broken soul,
Lies a broken shadow,
With no real goal

Contacting the living,
Whilst being with the dead,
Walking in circles,
Looking like a broken thread

The shards of her dreams,
Thrown back in her face,
As now it seems,
She can't win the race

She's broken inside,
With no place to go,
She can't move for fear,
And the pain won't subside,
The echoes from walls,
Are scaring her senseless,
She's walking these halls,
With a pain so relentless

Her life seemed to be,
Breaking down before her eyes,
She only prayed that he,
Would hear her pleading cries

He didn't hear a thing,
He was deaf and unconscious,
Of almost everything,
And now he's feeling nonplussed

If only he'd listened,
If only he'd seen,
The hurt she endured,
The pain there had been

She's broken inside,
With no place to go,
She can't move for fear,
And the pain won't subside,
The echoes from walls,
Are scaring her senseless,
She's walking these halls,
With a pain so relentless
