My Wish

by Akela   Feb 14, 2005

If I could just make one wish
If I could do anything
I would be selfish
And stop my anguish
I could do so much good
With a wish all of my own
I could feed the world
Or could make happiness on
Everyone faces be shown
But no, my one wish
Would show no remorse
I would stand tall
Firm and coarse
This is what I want
That is why I have been asked
This is what I am going to do
I no longer need a mask
A smile could be real
No sadness for me
But always happiness I could feel
Some guilt might creep into my mind
But I would push it out
Because I no longer am confined
I have the ability to be strong
To be optimistic
To smile
To feel confident
To laugh
To have inspiration
All these thing would be worth the wrath
