Canadian Myth

by Afshin   Feb 14, 2005

In the times of misery, war and strife,
Where a man wields only his gun and his knife,
A soldier stood, firing his gun,
As he stood his ground and would not run.

His name was Private Smokey Smith,
and although his story seems like a myth,
He saved the lives of an Infantry Core,
And his fearsome face kept looking for more!

He, by himself, killed a German Tank!
He shot and killed the German Flanks!
And as bullets whistled past his ear,
He would return the fire without no fear!

He is still alive that Smokey Smith!
And his story still seems like a myth.
But he will leave a mark in history's sight,
Because we will lest forget his fearless fight!
