I never realized it was so difficult
to logically describe forever
Because you promised me forever,
and I know you'd never lie
So did forever officially end
the day you said goodbye?
It's funny how people use the phrase
"Forever and a Day"
Who would have known that in that time,
so much is thrown away?
Time was created by man,
in hopes that people wouldn't be late
But what if time is just holding us back,
blocking us from fate?
Time can be a dangerous thing,
if we let it slip our minds
It changes people, hardens hearts,
our lives then run behind
Forever is a concept that goes
beyond numbers on a clock
But don't let yourself think you've got forever
to fix what you've done wrong...
What matters most is how we choose
to spend whatever time we have
And thanks for spending some of yours with me,
even though Forever didn't last...
