Foreigner of Love

by Amanda Sloan   Feb 15, 2005

The population of the world has all come home to their own
Embracing the taste of every kiss
Holding time till every moment is filled with bliss
A crazed public full of heartfelt phrases and longing dos
the night can only let these longed emotions run lose
Magnetized they cleave to each other like the earth holds still through thunder
In one moment everything has changed
one minute and look at what the clock has done
Turned minds to mush and light hearts on fire
The fears of the innocent and meek have been diminished they are no longer afraid no longer full of hate
Every heart of stone melts at the beautiful sight love has made

Surrounded by these fixed stares, all so happy, walking in pairs.
The difference is one and how the scheme it is noted, that every couple has flown to the clouds and floated
Not one heart untouched
Not one cheek unkissed
Not one person left un held
How beautiful this love day seems
If only i were in the steam
I will admit it is a wonderful dream

Maybe someday I'll take a stroll on lovers lane but for now I'll note and watch the lovers prance only stopping for an exquisite kiss
