Crescent Moon

You look so happy
In your iridescent light
Shine upon the dark
Give me my sight

The sight to see
All that is good
The sight to smite
The evil that would

Would infect the minds
Of ages to come
To poison the ancients
Leave stories undone

No more tales to tell
Without you my light
Breaking the darkness
To give me my sight

Without you with me
Our children would flee
Awaiting the creatures
They do not wish to see

With you at their backs
Me at your side
They happily dance
No more need to hide

My dear glimmering moon
In awe of your might
Shine with me always
And give me my sight
