Valentine's Without You

by Tanya, Mom of one.   Feb 15, 2005

Its Valentine's Day, and your not here,
Last year your life was taken,
Thinking that time would eventually heal,
I guess I was sadly mistaken.

To hear your laugh would make my day,
To reach out and touch your face,
To know your here and alive,
And not in that lonely grave.

Valentine's without you,
Is harder than life itself,
Your death is a constant reminder,
Of the cards that your life dealt.

Valentine's Day, with no happy,
A day with a lonely feel,
I wish I could bring you back,
And none of this was real.

I miss you Lance, and I Love you,
Happy Valentine's Sweetheart,
The day you left still hurts me,
And it tore my heart apart.

****For Lance Gunter, may you finally rest in peace****
