White Moon

by ~*LorienElf*~   Feb 15, 2005

The white moon will rise
Stealing all light
The stars meet their demise
As they cower in fright

It's face frowns upon the land
Cold in the winter evening
It grasps the world with it's starry hand
As the people are all sleeping

At night it takes control
And causes the meek to flee
It makes a home for the shadows of the soul
That during the daytime you can't see

Even the clouds run and hide
Not daring to cover
Even the dark side
As in the frosty air they hover

Slowly the nights grow darker
The new moon approaches soon
The stars grow stronger
For they will no longer have to fear that white moon

One night the moon rises aloe
But it no longer has its white shine
Not a bit of the moon can they see of
Not even a sliver of a line

It can no longer rule
Tonight over the rest
The stars are not anymore its tool
Along the twinkling crest

Now the moon is in pain
No one can see it
He wishes it would ran
To hide the tears that will be lit

The moon continues its journey around
It drifts into a darker thought
But then it has found
That maybe this way is better, this is what it has sought

It will stay in darkness forever
It no longer wants to be white
Its connections with all will sever
It stays in the shadow now, no more light
