Slip Away

I've been laying the dark for two hours now and my mind won't let me sleep. Thoughts of you are flooding me like never before. I'm just thinking about my day today... The things we talked about when you walked me home, the way I bribed you to come hang out with me... How terrified I was to kiss you, but I somehow overcame my fear. The way you held me as we sat on the couch. I felt safe and loved, but most of all HAPPY. Only when I'm with you, it seems, I can enjoy the ecstasy of life and love. Although I'm not sure I love you yet, I do know my feelings for you are strong. I know I won't ever give this to you but I had to write down my feelings before they slipped away. Please don't let it slip away.
