When I look in the mirror,
Wish it was someone else,
Because all I can see is fear,
Nothing remains here,
This house isn’t a home,
This life isn’t a dream,
You look at me expecting happiness,
But watch me sing,
Watch my voice as it trembles in the dark,
Watch as my footsteps stagger in the park,
Watch as my arms appear with scars,
Watch and keep me in your regards,
Watch as I leave,
Watch as I come,
One day I hope,
You might love me some,
But remember as I leave,
Remember when I go,
That I always wished,
I would never have known.
