I hide behind a mask
I wear it all day long
I never take it off

Cotton covers up the scars

I hide behind a wall
A giant wall of stone

I hide behind a shield
Armor built of lies
If you take away my cover
You'll see the tears I cry
Until you look beyond
Until you see what's truly inside
