The Bastard Dies on Broken Wings

by EpithetPoet   Feb 16, 2005

Strip off my wings
With your constant lies
Tear them to pieces
So i cannot fly

Watch me as a fall
As you walk away
Turn your head
As i futiley pray

Pray to the God
I'll never know
The child i bear
That will never show

Save his soul
Yes, it's a he
Forgive the father
He wil never see

Watch me die
Study my sin
Kill your child
Growing within

Clutch my wings
Watch me fall
Watch the son die
You never wanted at all

*it's a strange title i know, but it does mean fatherless son. i have a lot of respect for the strength of the many mothers, especially teens mothers, who have children on their own without the husband for support. i dont think i could do it. so congratulations and i commend your spirit*
