Take time

by Tamara   Feb 16, 2005

Take the time to stop and look at the way you make them smile
Pick up the phone and give them a call, the numbers really aren't that hard to dial

Watch the way their eyes light up when they see your face
In their hearts, you fill up every empty space

Know without a doubt of the pain you would be inflicting if you ever left their side
think of all the times they stayed up late and cried

Never forget the role you play
what you do is so much more important than the words you say

do something special, let them know you still care
find something meaningful that in your hearts you both can share

Take notice of the way they've always been there
for once, try giving a forgiving smile instead of that same relentless glare

i know you have it in you to see this love on through
and if you don't, perhaps your love was never really true

in which case you have no need to hang around
they don't need to hear your voice, they'll do nothing but cry at its sound

they should not have to feel this pain any longer
let them know you have to go, they don't deserve your hatred its nothing but pointless torture
