Broken Soul

My soul is in pieces
shattered upon the dirty ground
i can't put it back together
that is something only you can do
you said you loved me
i believed it was true
i fell for you in time
until i loved you too
and then you turned away from it
and left me standing here
soaking wet from the pouring rain
i looked up and there wasn't a cloud
it was my own teardrops falling
i wonder why is it so sunny
on a day that is so cloudy?
I'm frozen inside,

the pieces are too many to count
too small to pick up
to delicate to put back together
only you have the touch
