Try as i might
to hide away
not come out
in the light of day.

i hear your name
and want to cry
deep inside
i want to die.

You hold her hand
kiss her lips
arm around her waist
hand on her hip.

I hide my face
when you look my way
never meet your eye
until that day.

Until that day
we met down the street
when i looked in your eye
you looked at your feet.

I gave you a smile
then a frown
cause when i looked over
you looked down.

Then i realized
just why you hide
and my heart
quickened it's stride!
