Waiting in Reality

I wait for you to look at me
To smile your secret smile
The smile that only you and I know
I wait for our eyes to meet
And for you to gaze into mine
I wait for you to come and talk to me
To ask me of my day
I wait for you to take my hand
And walk me down the path
I look to see people watching us
Thinking of how we feel
I then wake up and open my eyes
And say reality that once was.
