Tale of An Unmended Heart

by Sara   Feb 18, 2005

An unmended broken heart left to die.
A sad face reflects upon the rough waters of the world.
A tear symbolizes the rain.
Falling down to the earth,
past the birds,
into the eyes
of your beloved.
Secrets caress,
every inch of his body.
Treacherous lies,
unfold within his palms.
Undying love,
forced out of his heart.
Words she spoke,
were just an image.
The love she contained,
was no longer embodied within her.
Floating up to the sky,
her soul is set free.
He lets go of the mistakes,
he will never learn.
She is gone,
for there is no other chance.
The secrets he longed to speak,
now are the secrets he must hold.
And the lies his lips forced out,
now are the raindrops diminishing from the sky.
Thus, his unmended heart was left to die.
So ends his tale.
