Summer Love

It’s summer time again
My summer love begins to caress my skin
Lying on a blanket in an open field

He wasn’t bothered I had no makeup on

He said “I love you” in a soft hushed tone

We layed there for hours
Watched the sun set
The Stars shine in the sky
That’s the night I won’t ever forget

I fell asleep in his arms
He didn’t try to fool me with fake charms

He loved me for who I was
I had nothing to hide
He told me that one day I’d be his beautiful bride

This summer love stayed true to me
He was more than I thought anyone could be
He’s loved me unconditionally

Today we’re beginning our lives as one
