Meant To Be

He walked through the door
And the room fell silent.
All eyes upon his frame.
Time stood still.
Her heart stopped beating.
All before she knew his name.
He walked toward her
And sat himself down
With a smile and sweet hello.
She didn't know what to do
Except respond "Do I know you?"
Something about him paralyzed her
And she had no idea why.
If she convinced herself that she felt nothing
It would be nothing but a lie.
"No, but my name is Noah
And I just started here this afternoon.
Maybe we could have lunch together
And you could show me around the school."
" Umm...s-s-sure." she stammered
And felt herself begin to blush.
"Alright I'll see you after class," he said
As he placed his hand on hers.
She shuttered at his touch.
What was it about him
That made her so weak in the knees?
But something in her heart told her
That they were meant to be...
