Nuthing but perfect

by ANDREA   Jul 22, 2003

I’m in another world
Everything’s so still
No leaves have fallen off the trees
Nobody wants to kill

In this perfect land
A chirping bird I’m feeding
I turn around at the sound of your breath
And all I can think of is how to keep by heart beating

I can’t believe it’s you
I’ve been waiting for so long
And as I look into your eyes
That bird is singing us a song

When I look into your eyes
I can see a red rose bleeding
And I think to myself
How hard it is to live your life pleading

Pleading for something
That will never come
Pleading for the truth you want
Only works for some

Wait,
I’m in this perfect land
Where you can plead for what you believe in
Even plead for that red rose to stop bleeding

You look into my eyes and see an unknown
I don’t know what you saw
But for the first time
I don’t feel so alone

This perfect place is addicting
It’s like a drug because
It’s the only place you are
That we can be in love
