Perfect dreamer

by Emily Eaton   Feb 19, 2005

I thought you'd stop visiting my dreams
cos i wake up wandering what this means
I don't know who you are
your just a perfect something
a stolen breathe
a pearl on a string.
someone who will run through pouring rain for me
to run a thousand highways
to be with me
to cry and argue to need me so much
to make my body quiver with a single touch
to steal my breathe and adore me so
to hold me close and not want to let go
someone who would write my name in the sand
with a perfect palm fit for my hand
Are you this person who lurks in my sleep
are you the loving comfort when i weep.
do you point at me when i walk by
and cos i don't look you feel to sigh
could you be that perfect something for me
a light in my heart so love can see
could you run for me whatever the weather
could you shed a tear for my embrace
could you argue upon hours
to win my heart
never give up and leave it to waste.
