The will to live

To take your own life,
to end all your pain,
is to give up on hope,
leaving nothing to gain.

Stopping time forever,
You leave your future in your past.
You arn't the first to do it,
and you will not be the last.

So why are you so selfish?
There's others that do care.
Whether you have yet to meet them,
beieve me, they are there.

You're causing pain for others,
just to end your own,
so make a louder statement.
Proudly make it known:

My will to live is stronger,
Never will I let go.
I will not let you pull me down.
This I want you to know.

I'm doing this for me.
I don't care what you think,
I won't give up when life gets hard.
I want to swim, not sink.
