PEERS

by Heather M Craig   Feb 19, 2005

I, above my peers
watch them waste life
sneaking in beers
proceeding into a lowlife.

Many forgot about God
through a couple of hardships.
Posers and facades
watching their dreams slip.

Everyone's here to get high,
playing love to get "some".
Stealing all they can get by
selling their mothers valums...

Repeating drugs and drinks
inclining in to an early grave.
Minds destroyed and heart's sinked
for the years they never behaved.

Suicide falls into their hands
for the abashed minds and hearts.
Pity drops when I don't understand;
It was their faults from the start.

I wish I could save them every one
but I'm isolated from the rest.
Can't capture all they have done
but I can try my best!

If I could, I would improve their every choice,
erase every fright and capture every tear,
guide the lost ones into rejoice
before my time runs out here.

--I hope no one is offended by this write. I do not place myself higher than anyone who does drugs/drinks so don't capture my words wrong but I do think they need help--

For some it would seem to be offensive to others a masterpiece that captures what is happening. And to me I find it interesing and with an undercurrent of warning for those who do this.

I am too above all the drinking and drugs and throwing away of lives but 1st of all it's not always sumones fault if they are depressed, I'm sure you know that though, but anyways you shouldn't keep away from things like that because of "god" you should for yourself if u want to succeed, there is absolutely no proof that a God of the sorts exists, others follow by what they call blind faith, but what has blindness and ignorance every gotten us in this world besides false comfort and obscured truth

I don't find it offensive at all (I don't do drug's, but I drink with my friends frequently)! You put a very positive and powerful message out there. I think anyone who does find it offensive are the one's who are addicted and probably need intervention of some sort! Anyway, enough about that...great job as always~Holly
