In loving memory of joey adams

by Johnni   Feb 20, 2005

A golden heart stopped beating
A beautiful smile at rest
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best

It's lonesome here without you
We miss you so much each day
Our lives just aren't the same
Since you went away

But when days are sad and lonely
And everything goes wrong
We seem to hear you whisper
"Cheer up and carry on"

Each time we see your picture
We seem to hear you say
"Don't cry I'm in god's keeping,
And we'll meet again someday."

Thats an amazingly touching poem, as the rest i too have lost one... and reading that bought back the same feeling on that dreadful day... i had forgotten that feeling... of undescribable mash of feelings, lonlyness, regret, anger... i thank you for that... its nice to feel something apart from numness sometimes.. thanks... and sorry for your own friend...
