Second Chance

It seemed to end so fast
I hoped it wouldn’t last
But it hurt me so much inside
On my bed I sat and cried
Then, all of a sudden…
My body stopped, my tears dropped
My heart broke, my spirit choked

Everything died inside of me
The world was dark, I couldn’t see
Why would I do this?
It was a big risk
It didn’t help anything
Please, God, get ride of the sting
It wasn’t the end of the world
So why did I try to make it be?

Please, I ask for another chance
Right now, on you I rely
Help the dumb, help the freak,
Help the numb, help the weak
Only you can help me now

To my discovery
You helped with my recovery
You answered my prayer
You showed that you loved, you showed that you cared.

I saw the light
It was a beautiful sight
But I turned back.
A chance at life, i lacked.
I was given a second chance
Imma take this chance to dance.
