Single tear

by Kendra   Feb 21, 2005

A silence falls over the house
i give her a hug, never wanting to let go
him standing behind us, waiting
the embrace ends and shes walking...
shes walking away
no one knows what to say
this shit has made my heart stop
time seemed to freeze as she went for the door.
its cold outside, just like my soul when shes gone
you can see her breath as she walks away
were both crying inside.

i let single silent tear trickle down my face

a single drop of my heartfelt emotions.
a single tear that tells a story of a thousand words.
a single tear that will forever be burnt into my face.
a permanent scar on my heart.

have you ever heard the sound of a single tear hitting the floor?
it echos in your heart.
i don't ever want to hear the emptiness inside of me again

like i did, the day the cop came to take her home.
