Silence filled the air
as she gazed out the window.
Trickles of rain
slid down the glass.
Her rosy complexion
did nothing to mask
the emptiness inside her.
The reflection of the snow
caused a sparkle in her eyes,
as the tears were held back
by the strength in her soul.
The words came to her mind,
'there comes a time in everyone's life
where all you can see are the years passing by'.
This was that time,
with no where to go
but nothing left in the abyss behind.
She was trapped
in a world she didn't belong in
With everyone to love
but no one to love her.
She closes her eyes,
hoping to wake...
darkness.
