As I think of you,
Tears run freely from my face.
Why am I still stuck in the past,
While you have found someone to take my place.
I can’t even begin to explain
Just how much you hurt me.
Everything felt like such a blur,
As I was struggling to breath.
My chest felt like it was going to collapse,
My whole body began shaking,
I could not understand why you were doing this.
Why did you want my heart breaking?
In all the time that we spent together,
I never saw this side of you.
You always seemed like you loved me so much,
But then you said, “It’s over, we are through.â€
You always told me that we would last,
And we weren’t like the rest.
You said we would beat all of the odds,
We would show them how to pass this test.
When you told me that you wanted a break,
You did not even shed a tear,
My whole life started crashing down,
I couldn’t stand to be here.
I cried and cried and asked you why?
Did you ever even love me?
You said yes, and I still do,
But I just don’t make you happy.
That is an excuse, because you know you did.
You made me happier than I have ever been.
I do not know why you had to do this,
Now my world is about to end.
