Blind and Cannot See

by Daniel Goding   Feb 21, 2005

You must have your reasons why
My brother comes first, not I
It's hard for me not to have an attitude
When every small thing he does receives your gratitude
While I get criticized for so many things
It makes my heart ache while my head rings
Everything you see is all from one side
I feel as though I belong under a rock so I can hide
To talk to you about the things I see
Apparently is only relevant to me
You choose to put up your wall;
A defense for everthing large and small
Your emotions are filled with anger and hate
With me you will not try to communicate
I want you to see the way it looks to me...
My brother does little or nothing at all;
And yet he claims all the revilree
When I contribute, you do not see
Everything associated with me
Seems to make you angry
My brother can do no wrong
I guess I've known it all along
Im fighting a war
With no score
My brother claims victory
I get the mockery
He sees it as clear as I,
But I have to stand with pie in my eyes
I'm so exhausted from it all
But I'll be damned if I fall
Why, why are you blind and cannot see?
