If only the world we knew

If every one was to share a smile with someone close by
if everyone was to help someone who could only try
if everyone was to cheer someone who was sad
if everyone was to calm another who got mad
if everyone was to compliment everyone they meet
if everyone was to forgive the people the lie hurt and cheat
if everyone was to help all the blind people see
if everyone was to try so hard to give someone glee
if every one was to help all the poor
if everyone would talk not just ignore
if every one was kind to the one they most hated
if everyone would not rush but took there time and waited
if everyone would make the old feel needed
if everyone would stop hurtful things when the other pleaded
if everyone would think of others before themselves
if everyone would help someone smaller reach the higher shelves
if everyone would put aside their differences and work together
if everyone treated the other like sister and brother
maybe this world would be a better place
where we found all our dreams we could chase
no pain to be felt just a world of bliss
if only my world could exist......
