THIS LOVE THAT WON’T DIE

by Mustardhart   Feb 22, 2005

This love that wont die, is only in you!

You sacrificed much on the alter of giving
Yet I find you living again and again

You went to bear much pain in bearing
Almost lost your life in the trial, yet…
You are living not only for you, but for me

I am amazed how you took risk in believing
That thought the world give way I will remain
You remained true, even when you had no reason
Still, you are alive, dwelling with daily renewal

I gaze and watched your suffering heart living
Keeping and making a home that suits just me
You ignore the pains you had to carry along
As you build with devotion and diligence
Day in day out, you live never aging out

My resistance to your plea for a changed heart
Your constant but rejected admonition for right
Would have broken anything, but not you
My defiance to joys you wanted all the time
Would kill the fervent seeker, but not you
All the more, you live on never to die

The time has come, the time is here
When my folly by your side only keep
And seek the home your heart points
Since mine all along never found one
And because I need to be immortal like you
And share this bliss that kept you living forever
And to daily through my living years know..
THIS LOVE THAT WON’T DIE
